A few days ago, good news came from the TP193 well. The well was successfully blocked by the high-temperature acid-soluble plugging technology independently developed by the Northwest Oilfield in the Ordovician Yingshan Formation, marking the company’s ultra-deep plugging technology. The new level has become a trump card technology in the strategic task of the “Taohe River under the Tahe River” in the Northwest Oilfield. The TP193 well is an ultra-deep evaluation well deployed in the Tuotai area.
The geological purpose of the well is to drill the Ordovician Penglai dam group. However, the reservoirs of the Ordovician Yingshan Formation and Penglaiba Formation are mainly crack-cavity type, the fracture characteristics are complex, and the formation temperature is greater than 160 °C, resulting in the gradation, strength and plugging durability of the plugging material cannot meet the sealing. The cracks required that the early deployment of the well drill to the Yingshan Formation were lost, and it was impossible to continue drilling and then complete the drill ahead, which became the “roadblocker” that restricted the ultra-deep drilling. In the TP193 well, the Yingshan Formation had a total of 5 well leaks during the drilling process. It used static plugging, bridge slurry plugging and chemical consolidation plugging. It lost more than 700 wells and lost 58.9 days, which was seriously extended. Drilling period. In view of the leakage complexity and reservoir protection of high temperature fracture-cavity reservoirs, the Petroleum Engineering Technology Research Institute proposed a plugging method based on the ideal filling-tight stacking theory.
The technology was tested at 7322.94 meters of the Ordovician Yingshan Formation in the TP193. After the plugging, the pressure reached 7.6MPa, and the drilling continued to 7341.67 meters without leaking. The plugging was successful once, showing that the acid-soluble plugging and sealing technology is reasonable and effective.
