Shandong formulated the country’s first local LNG industry normative standards

At the East Asia Ocean Summit Forum held in Qingdao on September 8th, Tian Guansan, director of the LNG Professional Committee of China City Gas Association, revealed that the first LNG industry standard approved by the local government in China – Shandong “LNG” gas The Technical Standard for Supply Engineering has now completed the draft for comments. With the rapid development of industrialization and urbanization, natural gas consumption demand has grown rapidly in recent years. In 2016, the total consumption of natural gas in Shandong Province reached 9.6 billion cubic meters, a year-on-year increase of nearly 20%. At the moment, the province has started a battle against pollution prevention and control, and the pace of coal gas conversion has accelerated, and the demand for natural gas has further increased. In order to make the design, construction and acceptance of small liquefied natural gas chemical plants uniform technical requirements, to be safe and applicable, advanced technology and economical, the project is approved by the Shandong Provincial Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Construction and the Shandong Provincial Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision. Shandong Jianzhu University and Jinan Zhongxin Energy Engineering Co., Ltd. were responsible for editing the provincial LNG industry standard. At present, the standard has completed the consultation draft, and in September 2017, the relevant units will be invited to organize experts to study and submit written comments and suggestions. The code is applicable to the design, construction and acceptance of small LNG gasification station projects with a total storage capacity of less than 120m3 for industrial and agricultural users and for the supply of natural gas outside the scope of natural gas supply. It is not applicable to the LNG gasification station project that has the function of filling LNG cylinders. The liquefied natural gas gasification station involved in the regulation shall be installed in an area where the industrial enterprise has a huge social demand, which reflects significant economic and social benefits to improve the quality of the project and enable the safe and effective operation of the gas project.
